Camp Half-Blood Club

Thursdays, September 24 - October 15, 7 pm
For grades 4-6. Do you feel the need for adventure? Do strange things keep happening to you? Is your math teacher a monster? (No, I mean for real!) Then join us at Camp Half-Blood as we explore the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Learn the difference between a centaur and a Minotaur, and undertake new weekly quests for glory. Registration begins September 10 for everyone.

Fiesta Latina-Americana @ the Village

Saturday, October 3, 2 pm
Celebrate Hispanic culture with songs, food, music, crafts, and more from Latin American countries. Registration begins September 14 for Haverstraw Library members only.

Monster Hunt

Thursday, October 29, 6 pm
For ages 7-14. KIDS crave adventure - and they have one in the MONSTER HUNT, where they find and capture a lurking monster! 7-14 year olds track down books containing hidden clues that will lead to the monster's secret lair. All participants have their own clues and proceed at their own pace, so everyone succeeds. And everyone is rewarded with their very own monster detective badge! Limited registration begins October 15 for Haverstraw Library members and October 28 for everyone else.

Art Design with Scratch

Thursdays, September 24 - October 15, 5 pm
For grades 4-6. Art. Design. Coding. Create your own digital works of art! Use the computer to design your own animations, create a paint editor tool, and learn how technology is used in the art world! No previous computer experience is necessary. Registration for this 4 week program begins September 10 for Haverstraw Library members only.

Baby Signs with Miss Fran!

Tuesdays, September 8 - 29, 10:30 am
For babies and toddlers 2 years older and younger. Registration begins September 1 for Haverstraw Library members only. Join us for a unique hands-on class where you and your child will learn signs that they can communicate before they can talk! This interactive fun class features music with guitar, songs, puppets, instruments, movement, sign language and laughter!

Pizza Pinwheels with Miss Kathy!

Wednesday, September 16, 6:30 pm
For ages 5-12. Registration begins September 2 for Haverstraw Library members only. Make the dough from scratch, add the cheese, sauce, add pepperoni (optional), then roll it into a pinwheel. Then bake it at home with an adult.

Come and read over 100 comic books at the Library using Comics Plus: Library Edition! Featuring top publishers and creators such as Archie Comics, IDW Publishing, Dynamite Entertainment, Image Comics, Red 5 Comics and more.

Start off by creating an account. Enter your email address and a password. Once logged in, you may browse the library, select a publisher or search for titles, and check out comics you want to read.
