Get Your Summer Reading Books!

Get a head start! Come in and get your summer reading books today. Many titles on the North Rockland Central School District (NRCSD) summer reading lists, grades 1 - 12, are available in English and Spanish in both library buildings. If you need help looking for a book, drop by the Youth Services desk for assistance.

Changes Coming to Adult Services

Watch out for some rearranging that will be going on in the Adult Services area. We will be evaluating the books in our non-circulating Reference collection, and making many of them available for you to check out as well as updating older titles and filling in any gaps within the collection. We are putting the Reference and circulating materials together, eliminating the need to look in multiple places for the information you need.

Our hope is to get this done over the summer, so please pardon any disorganization you encounter during that time. The Adult Services staff is always available to assist you!

Now availabe for Haverstraw Library cardholders! Get musuem passes for Storm King Art Center, a 500-acre landscape of fields, hills, and woodlands with a collection of more than 100 carefully sited sculptures created by some of the most acclaimed artists of our time.

Museum passes are also available for American Museum of Natural History, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Hudson Highlands Nature Museums, Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, and recently added Guggenheim Museum. Borrow More DVDs!

Effective immediately, patrons may now borrow from our Main Library at Garnerville:

  • Four 3-Day Adult DVDs
  • Four 3-Day Youth Services and/or Teen DVDs
  • Seven 7-Day Adult DVDs

That would be a total of 15 DVDs per library card. In the Village, the "pink label new" DVDs are still limited to 4 per card. The Village collection is much smaller so Teen or Childrens are limited to 4 plus 4 Adult Services' older DVDs for a total of 8 per library card. Note: Spring Valley and Stony Point patrons cannot borrow any "pink label new" DVDs.

Our Boopsie Mobile App has been upgraded! It can now remember your library and your login information; library card number and pin number; so you don't have to search or enter your information ever again.

New to Boopsie? It's an app where you can easily check your library account, renew and place holds, find a title, locate and navigate to the library, call the library directly, and download ebooks. Visit rcls.boopsie.com on your mobile phone and install RCLS Mobile today!
